Tertiary Institution academic administrator [South Africa]


 

A well established private tertiary education institution based in the Southern Suburbs seeks to employ a tertiary institution academic administrator on a fixed contract. Candidate must be available immediately.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, committed and professional with a keen passion for education and new business. The role is for a mature person of 28 years and above. Salary is between R12k-negotiable. We are looking to recruit a candidate with approximately 3 years previous tertiary education experience. The tertiary institution academic administrator will report to the campus business development manager and operations.

Job description

Key responsibilities and duties:

In collaboration with Operations and business development this position is jointly accountable for

· Provide administrative and schools coordinate support to a team of academic management

· Co-ordinate, book and complete tours/workshops on behalf of institute

· Manage client base lifecycle from registration/admission to our programs to graduation and leaving

· Work alongside academic boards, governing bodies and high school task groups

· Assist with alumni relations/internship recruitment and social marketing activities

· Co ordinate examination and assessment processes

· Contribute to policy and planning with the liasing of educational partners

· Communicate and coordinate with partner institutions, other institutions, government departments and prospective students and corporate clients.

· Organize and facilitate educational and social activities and excursions

· Ordering supplies as needed and ensuring inventory is adequate

· Liaise and prospect with potential clients and establish rapport.

· Build relationships with ”top feeder” schools

· Assist enrolment advisor with admissions documentation

· Assists in preparation of induction packages and office policies.

· Support role in meeting enrolment goals and promotion of high customer service standards

· Excellent communication skills including the ability to facilitate and co-ordinate stakeholders

· Ad hoc administrative duties

· Accurate

· Prioritise tasks according to importance.

· Must have a valid drivers licence

· Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with a degree of bilingualism.

· Display multitasking capability without compromising quality.

· Demonstrate strength in project management

· Collect, sort, distribute and prepare correspondence to parents.

· Apply established skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

· A flexible approach to work

· Fast learner,very thorough

· Matric with a ,

· Degree or Diploma in business administration/management studies or education related

· Minimum of 3 years related education administration support work experience

· Proven track record of results

· Provision of 3 latest references
